Greg said, “It is fantastic that our audience continues to build and is a great opportunity to engage with our supporters, or those who may be interested in learning more about the Hospice. Through social media we have reached people that we would never have previously have been able to and shared our story with people around the world.

“It is important that we communicate with people in the right way and encourage discussions, say thank you to supporters and spread our message. We now have online followers in over 42 countries which is amazing when you consider the size of our area in comparison.

“We would like to encourage any social media users to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, where you can read about what is happening in the Hospice, find out about fundraising events and learn about all the different things that happen in the community to raise money for patient care. You can also have your say and talk to us about your views on any Hospice related matters.”

The Hospice is planning to branch out into further areas of social media including LinkdIn, YouTube and Instagram in order to engage with more people.
