Vote to support your Hospice
Darlington Building Society Marketing Department launched a pledge at the beginning of 2017 that they would share 5% of their net profits, after tax, to their local communities.
In an initiative to supplement the pledge, they have asked their members and staff to vote for charities in their local area that they would like to support. They have asked each of their 10 branches to have three shortlisted charities who they would like to support, in line with what members requested. All three of the shortlisted charities per branch will receive a donation to aid their cause.
Of the Society’s 5% pledge there will be a total of £16,000 to the 30 shortlisted charities across the region.
To separate the three shortlisted charities the Society are asking the public to ‘have their say’ and vote for a charity in branch, or on their website.
The charity that finishes in third place in their polls will receive a £200 donation, the charity that finishes second will receive £400 and the charity that wins the poll will receive a £1,000 donation alongside winning the affinity partnership with the branch or head office.
