Work for Us

Alice House Hospice employs a combination of over 120 part-time and full-time staff dedicated to providing people living in the Hartlepool and East Durham area with high quality care and support.

Our staff and volunteers make Alice House Hospice what it is...

This team is supported by a passionate and talented army of over 250 volunteers who help in all areas of patient care, fundraising, housekeeping and administration.  Every staff member and volunteer works within a culture of collective responsibility and in the spirit of equality of opportunity and diversity and where a work/life balance is encouraged.

We recognise that our workforce is our greatest asset and we invest in creating a pleasant working environment that offers them excellent facilities and opportunities.  In return for this commitment, we expect very high standards from all, standards which are maintained through continual personal and professional development.
