Adult Bereavement Services

Alice House Hospice offers bereavement and anticipatory grief counselling to adults, offering a safe and relaxed environment where the clients feel they are able to express themselves and address those important issues that they feel they need additional support with.

Initial assessments will be conducted to ensure that we are the right team to support the individual referred.  This initial meeting also gives the client the opportunity to meet the member of the team they will be working with, which will make them more comfortable on their first session.

The team have provided support to many people over the years and this experience has supported those clients to address the issues they have found difficult to cope with.

Bereaved Parents Drop-In

The Hospice’s Counselling & Support Service offers a support group to parents who have experienced the death of an adult child.

This drop-in group gives parents the opportunity to meet other bereaved parents, to talk about their feelings and share experiences openly in a safe and confidential environment.

The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at Hartlepool & District Hospice in the Holistic Wellbeing Centre.

Please contact us for dates.

If you are interested in accessing this group please contact the Counselling & Support Team on 01429 855550.
