Open Up Hospice Care – Hospice UK Campaign
1 in 4 families who need hospice care can't get it
Hospice UK is determined to change that and are running an Open Up Hospice Care campaign across the country to help ensure patients and their families can access the quality care where and when they need it.
Hospice UK said, “Right now, hospices around the UK are providing incredible physical, emotional and social support to more than 200,000 people every year, as well as supporting many thousands of families and carers. Young and old, irrespective of faith, ethnicity and gender, hospices are there for them.
But there are still 100,000 people who’re missing out. Maybe they’re from a disadvantaged background, or maybe they’ve faced discrimination before. It could be that they just don’t know about the help available.
It’s these people we urgently need to reach. By supporting the Open Up Hospice Care campaign, you’re helping us to reach more families so that everyone who needs hospice care, gets hospice care.
