Phil is a long-term supporter of Alice House and regularly raises money in the memory of his late wife Sally who was tragically killed in a car crash in 2012. Phil is joined by friends and family in his efforts and the group are collectively known as #TeamSally.

Phil has already held the first two of his events which were a pumpkin show for Halloween at The Fisherman’s Arms and a quiz night held at The Anchor. Future events include a number of local runs, a live music event, a marathon bike ride, running the Lakeland Marathon and more. The challenge culminates with Phil completing his 30^th Great North Run the week after his 60^th birthday next year.

Local business Wise Financial Consulting are the official sponsors of Phil’s challenge and the company has recently made a number of generous donations to the Hospice. Phil is also supported by close friend and fellow volunteer Steve Bell of SMB Training and Phil’s event t-shirts were kindly paid for by The Fisherman’s Arms.
