Meet Sylvia Anderson
Sylvia has seen her loved ones cared for by Alice House and also uses some of the services herself.
My association with Alice House began in 1998 when my late husband, Alan, was admitted to the Hospice in Hutton Avenue.
Sadly, he died after about a week but the care given to him and our family was exceptional. We could not have coped without their help.
My second husband, Reg, has been in Alice House Hospice for 5 weeks. He has received the best care from all of the Clinical Team and they have kept us updated in a relaxed and friendly way.
I can’t praise the staff enough, they are like an extended family, always ready to help in any way they can. They are caring, compassionate, friendly and sometimes funny.
They also care for me as a carer. I’m receiving counselling and have attended craft, meditation and reiki sessions; I have made many new friends.
I sing the praises of all staff across the board.
