Thank You Exwold
Local manufacturing business Exwold Technology have continued to support Alice House throughout a very difficult 2020.
Alice House faces serious funding challenges as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and having to cancel almost their entire fundraising calendar for the year.
Exwold are long standing partners of Alice House in Hartlepool and this year, the company has gone the extra mile by sponsoring three of the fundraising projects that were able to proceed, as well as donating money to buy Christmas gifts for patients.
Throughout the year, Exwold sponsored the Virtual Pub Crawl online event, two pages in the 2021 Hospice calendar and the On Your Bike 2020 cycling challenge. The company have paid for patients’ Christmas presents for a number of years now.
Kevin Martin, Managing Director of Exwold said “We recognise the fantastic work that Alice House does for our community and as a local business, we are very proud to be able to be involved with such a worthy cause, especially during these strange and uncertain times.”
Greg Hildreth, Senior Communications Manager at Alice House added “Kevin and the team at Exwold have continued to show such great generosity towards local people and families. This kind of support from companies is now more vital than ever and has helped us to continue to provide our care services under very difficult circumstances.
The Christmas presents provided by Exwold are such a lovely gesture and will really make a difference to our patients.”
Alice House Hospice has been forced to cancel or restrict almost all of its usual fundraising activities and its charity shops have been closed for much of the year. As a result, the Hospice anticipates losses of around £1.5 million in fundraising revenue.
