Are you ready to tackle the Great North Run for Alice House?

We are kicking off 2023 with an appeal for runners to join our Great North Run Team and raise money for Alice House.

The annual half-marathon is one of the most famous events of its kind and a huge day for the North East, along with charities throughout the UK and of course, thousands of runners.

Alice House Party a fundraising success

A fundraising event raised around £11,000 for Alice House Hospice and organisers are planning a follow up event for next year.

The Alice House Party was a sold-out charity dinner at Wynyard Hall in October with around 200 guests in attendance.

Join us for Fashion, Food and Fizz

Fundraisers at Alice House Hospice are delighted to be hosting their second Fashion, Food & Fizz event on Friday 18th November 12-3pm at The Golden Lion, Hartlepool.

Guests will start the afternoon with a drinks reception and shopping from some luxury stalls selling a wide range of items including handmade goods and accessories.

Another Huge golfing success for Alice House

A charity golf day at The Wynyard Club has raised around £24,000 in much needed funding for Alice House Hospice.

The day was organised by regular supporter Rob Hoskins, whose golf days have generated around £230,000 for the charity over the years.

Bidding Farewell to our CEO

Staff and volunteers at Alice House Hospice are preparing to bid a fond farewell to CEO Tracy Woodall, who has announced her retirement from the charity.

Tracy became Chief Executive in 2008 after a long career in the NHS. In her time at Alice House, she has seen many changes and led the organisation through some of its most challenging times.

Boots Opticians Supports Great North Runners

On Sunday 11th September, 38 runners will take part in the Great North Run in aid of Alice House Hospice with the aim of raising around £20,000 for hospice care.

Boots Opticians, Hartlepool are the proud sponsors of the Alice House Team for the fourth consecutive year. Alice House runners will proudly display their logo on their running shirts on the day to thank them for their support.

Foundation Grant for Patient Transfer Scale

A generous grant from the Hodge Foundation

A massive thank you to the Hodge Foundation who have awarded Alice House Hospice a generous grant of £2,600 which has enabled us to purchase a much-needed Patient Transfer Scale.

Alice House Party

A newly formed group of Hartlepool-based business leaders is working with Alice House Hospice to organise what promises to be the charity’s biggest fundraising dinner in years.

The Alice House Celebration Committee consists of Simon Corbett (CEO at Orangebox Training Solutions), Jamie Arthur (CEO of Property Webmasters), Paul Fraser (MD of Rephrase PR Media Services) and Gary Riches (Assistant Principal at Hartlepool College).

#VOLUNTEER22 with Alice House Hospice

Alice House Hospice is about to launch its biggest ever recruitment drive to boost its volunteer workforce across all areas of the charity.

The campaign, which is called #Volunteer22 and launching in July, is reaching out to individuals, community groups and businesses throughout Hartlepool and East Durham, to promote the importance of volunteering, highlight volunteer opportunities and fill volunteer role vacancies.
