Paula Tempest – Nursing through Lockdown – My Story
When the pandemic was first mentioned I honestly did not have any insight to how much it would change the world as we knew it.

Volunteering at Christmas
Christmas in Alice House Hospice’s Day Services is a festive time full of laughter, this is it from the eyes of one volunteer.
Janet Staunch has been volunteering in the Holistic Wellbeing Centre for 2 years and joined the team with a desire to “give something back to the community”.
Sandra Britten, Staff
Sandra has worked in the Charity sector for 30 years...
I have two favourite quotes which sum up why I work at the Hospice.
June Ewen, Volunteer
This is the first time June has volunteered for a charity and she was inspired to do so after retiring from a busy training career in Organisational Development.
George Newbury, Volunteer
George Newbury, retired Engineer from Hartlepool, has been volunteering for the Hospice for 10 years.
