CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Government advice, NHS advice and hospice updates

Hospice Mascot

We are looking to recruit an outgoing, enthusiastic and motivated volunteer (or volunteers) to fill the new post of Hospice Mascot.

As part of a new initiative, our new mascot ‘Alice Mouse’ will be required to appear in character costume at fundraising events in the community of Hartlepool and East Durham; the costume will be that of a cartoon style mouse with full body and headwear provided.  The role will also include appearances at promotional events and occasions such as charity bag packs in supermarkets.

Alice Mouse will be a representative of Alice House Hospice and a friendly face to increase engagement with children and families, as will as a way of increasing awareness of our work in the community.

The character of Alice Mouse will not be required to speak but will pose for photos, wave at visitors etc.

Hours are ad hoc, subject to event scheduling and plenty of notice will be given for tines required; multiple volunteers will give the role a further degree of flexibility.

If you are interested in becoming part of our Fundraising Team and working as Alice Mouse then please complete the
