Respite Care

Sometimes patients and their families need a short break from the pressures they may face when being cared for in their own home; for these patients the Hospice offers the use of a respite bed in the specialist Inpatient Unit.

This help can give the patient and their family a welcome break and may also allow their family to go on holiday knowing that their loved ones are being well cared for by the excellent Multi-Disciplinary Team we have here at the Hospice.

“Without you my husband and I would have no time to go places together.  We know she is cared for and loved with you; she calls it her inner sanctum and feels happy there.”
