I was extremely fortunate to witness first-hand the beautiful care that is given in hospices.

My own Gran died back in 2004 at St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds and her death was pain-free, dignified and she was surrounded by her family.  Her life did not end in pain, she wasn’t scared or alone which I am forever grateful for.

I work for MY local Hospice because I want to promote the amazing work that they do and to open up people’s minds to the idea that they are not just about end of life either.

Hospices help people live in their own homes, live independently, have a better, and often longer quality of life and support people to live not in the shadow of their illness but in front of it.
