Heerema support Hospice with £1,000 grant for mattresses

Heerema’s Charity Committee along with client GDF Suez has awarded a £1,000 to the Hospice for the purchase of a new mattress for the Inpatient Unit.

Currently all Inpatient beds have mattresses which have been purchased over a number of years and the time is approaching when these mattresses are ready to be replaced.

Heerema

Thanks to Heerema’s generous donation the Hospice can begin to purchase the replacement mattresses required.

These replacements are a cost effective solution for both the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. The power unit mattress offers a choice of varying therapies and is suitable for hospital and homecare environments. These mattresses will help to deliver the optimum in patient and pressure care. 2 Contralto mattresses have been trialled for a period of 1 month and have proven to be suitable for the needs of patients. These mattresses are the same standard as the current leading brand, Breeze and Huntley.

Carol Sennett said “I would like to thank Heerema and GDF-Suez for this wonderful donation it will help us to continue to provide our services and support to the local community”.
